Rule for bargaining

Just something from observation:

I think the golden rule to bargaining should be that if you really want to bargain then you must be prepared to walk away if the bargain isn’t right.

If you don’t want to bargain but want to pay the right price then also you must be prepared to walk away if the price is unreasonable (there are always other options).

And if you really want something then be prepared to pay any price for it.
